The Under 15s had a run of away matches scheduled for the last part of the season and started this in great style with a convincing win over the Lancashire 2nd teamEven travelling without Amit Chaudhari and Alisha Israni, the team scored a fine 13-7 win: and this was made all the more impressive by the presence of three players new to the Shires League – North Tyneside’s Robyn Luckley and Daniel Wight, together with Benfield’s Jake Freeman. There were particularly strong performances from Hannah Charlton, Annie Karn, Philip Pahatouridis and Stephen Allan, who were all undefeated. An excellent performance!
The following weekend saw the team make the long trip to play Derbyshire, who are having a particularly good season and had much greater strength in depth. The home team scored an 18-2 win. Our last match against Yorkshire has had to be conceded but we will have ended the season with a very creditable 3 wins out of 6 games. Many thanks to Norman and Sharon for shepherding the team through the season and to the various parents and coaches who have supported and travelled away with them.
