More success for Asmita

Down at Redbridge in early March, Northumberland’s Asmita Chaudhari played very well to reach the later stages in both the singles and doubles at the Under 11 National Championships.Having won her group and then the quarter final without losing an end, she came up against second seed Gauri Morjaria (Bucks) in the semi. This was a really good, close contest but Asmita coul not quite take the win, going down 10-15, 13-15.

In the girls doubles, she was paired with Safia Khumji of Oxfordshire as the second seeds.  Again, all group games were won with relative ease but they came up against the Morjaria sisters in the final which went to the Bucks pair 15-12, 15-4.  Well done Asmita!

And she has followed this up with another win at the Margaret Tipton Under 12 tournament in Berkshire.
