There were some significant successes for Northumberland players in the Scottish Masters this weekend.  Playing in the 35+ age group event, Rob Wetherell did brilliantly to come through stiff competiton and win the men’s singles.  He then followed this up by partnering Mal Lightbown to the runners-up spot in the level doubles, only going down 19 and 19 in the final.  And then to cap a great day, Mal partnered Sarah Renton to victory in the mixed doubles.  Great stuff.  Well played guys!!!!!
