Junior Competition

There is plenty of opportunity to get involved competitively across the county, with competitions taking place for all levels of players and all ages.

Junior Super Series Tournament

The Super Series Tournaments, ran by Tyneside Badminton Centre, is designed to provide competition for school children and Junior Club players who know the basic rules of the game and can rally, but have had limited exposure to competition outside their own club or local area.

Northumberland Junior Reivers League

The Reivers League was devised with the aim of providing an opportunity for junior club players at a grass roots level, specifically for non-county players. The league aims to play a crucial role in increasing the number juniors playing competitive badminton, as well as assisting the pathway to higher levels of junior badminton and senior clubs.

Anglo          Scottish Tournament 

The Anglo Scottish is a county team event for Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 players. It aims to give developing county players the experience of playing team competition against a variety of teams. 

Shires           League Badminton

The Shires League is a season long league for Juniors to represent their county at under 13, 15, 17, and 19 age groups. The season starts in September/October, culminating in the finals for the best teams in April/May.

Badminton England Open Tournaments

These tournaments should be a next step after playing in our Super Series and County Restricted Tournaments. Badminton England’s junior tournament circuits are nationwide and split into three tiers; Gold, Silver and Bronze and are split into Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19.

Northumberland Junior Restricted Tournament

The Junior Restricted Tournament is designed for individuals who are eligible to represent Northumberland. It offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy yourself, spend time with friends, and challenge yourself against the top players in Northumberland.
