Would you like to organise a graded tournament for season 2009/2010?

We are looking for clubs willing to organise a graded tournament at their own venue. Please get in touch to discuss the possibilities for your club. It's a great opportunity to advertise your club, your venue... and it really is a very rewarding experience!

If you're not sure if this is for you, maybe because you've never done this before, don't worry: full training and support will be given! Contact Aram Dedeyan to discuss this further.

31/03/2009 - B and D-Graded Singles Tournament - Entries now Open!

This is it! The entries are now open for the last graded tournament of the season, NBA's B and D-Graded singles tournament, taking place at Benfield centre for sporting excellence on Sunday 19th of April 2009.

This event is open to all players graded from UG to B1 in singles for the B-Graded event, and from UG to D1 in singles for the D-Graded event.

06/04/2009 - April Rankings Updated

Rankings have been updated, dated 5th of April. They include all league matches submitted to date, including results from the Newcastle Medicals B.C. C & E-Graded doubles tournament, and Whitley Bay B.C. B & D-Graded doubles tournament. As always, if you see any errors or omissions, please get in touch.

18/03/2009 - Whitley Bay B.C. B and D-Graded Doubles Tournament - Entries Open!

You can now register for the upcoming B and D-graded Doubles and Mixed Doubles tournament, taking place at John Spence High School, Whitley Bay on Sunday 29th of March 2009. This event is organised by Whitley Bay B.C., on behalf of the Northumberland Badminton Association, sponsored by Yehlex UK (www.yehlex.co.uk).

As we are expecting a high number of entries for this event, should any of the events become full, priority will be given to B and D-grade players in their respective events, providing that entries were submitted prior to the closing date. Thereafter, players from other grades will have their entries confirmed based on their entry's submission date: if you submit early, you will be picked before someone who submits late, even if it was submitted before the deadline.

This event has a provisional start time for All Mixed Doubles at 10am, followed by All level doubles from 2pm. As the entries come in, we will update you on the latest start times though the order of play will remain as it is. The tournament is expected to finish at 7pm.

Hence, please make sure you would be available to play at those times should you wish to enter these events. If you have any special considerations, mention it on the entry form and we will try to accommodate your needs where possible.

27/02/2009 - Tournament Date Change for B & D-Graded Singles Tournament

The B & D-Graded Singles tournament has been rescheduled to Sunday the 19th of April (one week earlier than previously communicated). The Calendar has been updated to reflect that change.

23/02/2009 - February Rankings Update

Rankings have once again been updated, dated 22/23rd of February2009. Don't forget that if you want to improve your grade, rank or simply be part of the system, the only way to do this is to play in the Northumberland league matches or Northumberland graded tournaments (see the Calendar from the menu above). So, get playing :)

12/02/2009 - C and E-Graded Singles Tournament - All events are now closed!

Due to unexpectedly high number of entries, we had to close the submissions. All entries submitted up until yesterday (the closing date) are confirmed. List of entries and start times will be published tomorrow Friday.

If you want to be on a waiting list in case of last minute cancellations, please send an e-mail with your player details and event of interest.

11/02/2009 - C and E-Graded Singles Tournament - Last day to guarantee your entry!

Don't be late in submitting your entry. The E-Graded Men's Singles is almost full, whilst the C-Graded Men's and C-Graded Ladies' Singles are both confirmed, with availability. So submit your entry form today by going on the Calendar view.

Register now for the last tournament of 2008, the C and E-graded Singles tournament @ Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence on Sunday 14th of December 2008.

The C-Graded Singles are open to all players graded UG to C1 in Singles, whilst the E-Graded Singles are open only to players graded UG to E1 in Singles.

28/11/2008 - B and D-Graded Tournament - Entries and Start Times Published!

You can view the status of your entry request, start times and map by clicking here. We have been able to accommodate most of the "partner needed" requests though unfortunately not all. Also, due to insufficient entries in the B-Graded ladies' doubles, the event had to be cancelled.

19/11/2008 - B and D-Graded Doubles Tournament - Entries Open!

The B & D-Graded Doubles badminton tournament is confirmed for the 30th of November at Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence. Full event details and entry forms will be available soon.

25/09/2008 - A/B-Graded Northumberland County Restricted - Last Chance!

The Northumberland County Restricted A/B-Graded Tournament will be run on 26th and 28th of September at Benfield Centre for Sporting Excellence. To submit your entry form online, please click on the link available from the Calendar.

Note that this is the only graded event in the season where players MUST be able to represent Northumberland County to take part. If you have any query on this matter, please contact Steve Abbott.

Hi everyone! The new season is almost upon us and I guess it's time to update all the information with respect to grades and tournaments for season 2008/09.
