Badminton was to continue as one of the key sports at the school. Copies of a calendar of events at the TBC were available – this was also displayed on the notice board. A tour of the Centre was offered at the end of the meeting for anyone interested.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
- CRB checks – Mr Waterfield explained that this was now done online, with applicants needing to select a Verifier approved by BADMINTON England to check personal documents, after completing their online application. The applicant and Verifier would need to complete the check together at a computer – only a short process. Current Verifiers in the County were – Mike Waterfield, Richard Taylor, Margaret Perry (all local) and Daniel Mulholland (based in Berwick). Mr Waterfield said that he would produce some notes to help applicants with the process and circulate these.
- Senior County Open session – Mr Abbott informed the meeting this would be on Saturday 21 September at the TBC at 5pm. Information flyers were available. All club representatives were asked to circulate the information and encourage any interested players to attend.
The Chairman then thanked all those present for attending and closed the meeting.
