Schools' and Youth Sub Committee

Purpose and Scope

1. To be responsible for junior badminton within the Northumberland Badminton Association area, up to and including the U19 age group. Specifically to organise:
   
   
   • Junior Squads
     
     
   • Junior Restricted Tournaments
     
     
   • Junior Badminton England Tournaments
     
     
   • Schools Tournaments
     
     
   • U19 Northumberland Open Tournament
     
     
   • Junior Team Events
     
     
2. To support the BDO in liaising with the three local Education Authorities on the implementation and development of badminton in schools
   
   
3. To work with the Coaching and Development sub committee, the Northumberland Badminton Development Officers and the Benfield Badminton Manager/ Administrator in relation to the development of junior badminton in the Northumberland badminton Association area
   
   
4. To promote Junior Area Squads and inter area competitions
   
   
5. To organise and develop Junior County Badminton Clubs
